Daily Devotion, 3/13/18, Day 11: The Miracle of Thank You
In John 2:1-11, we see Jesus perform His first of many miracles by turning the water into wine. When the master of ceremonies tasted the water that had been turned into wine, he said, "When everyone has had a lot to drink, the master brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!" He thus revealed His glory and His disciples put their faith in Him. This was the first of many miracles leading up to the miracle of purchasing our salvation.
As we continue to journey towards the cross and resurrection during these days, think of one way Jesus has "turned your water into wine." Draw it out of the barrel today and use it: give thanks for a relationship, ponder grace, notice your health, give thanks for the sun, stars, trees of the field and wind on your face. Drink in the everyday miracles that His gives you. Let it turn into worship. Worship starts with a grateful heart, a heart that stops to say thank you God, and then leads us to worship Him in all kinds of everyday ways.
Read John 2:1-11 and ask the Holy Spirit to give you fresh eyes to see the beauty of this first miracle of Jesus.
Reflect and record a list a few of your thank you’s to the Lord.
