Ephesians 6:10-12 NLT
“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”
As John Eldridge of Ransomed Heart Ministries likes to say, we live in a world at war. As we launch into each day, it’s crucial that we prepare for the spiritual battle we’re engaged in with prayer. I typically use The Submission Prayer from Beth Shalom Ministries and Ransomed Heart’s Daily Prayer as references to help me do this. The Submission Prayer goes like this:
“I submit myself to You Jesus. I submit my will, my rights and all control to you. I want what You want for me.
I bind, silence and detach all powers, principalities, rulers, authorities, thrones and dominions and anything demonic from the dark side in the atmosphere around me in Jesus name.
I bind, silence and detach all demons. I cancel and stop all communication between them. I bind all accusations, insinuations, innuendos, curses, hexes, suggestions and misperceptions in Jesus name.
I release (loose) the Sevenfold Spirit of God in my life today. (From Isaiah 11:2) Spirit of the Lord come, Spirit of Counsel come, Spirit of Power come, Spirit of Wisdom come, Spirit of Revelation come, Spirit of Knowledge come and Spirit of the Fear of the Lord come.”
Below is a link to The Daily Prayer. Again, I don’t always pray these word for word but the major themes of these prayers guide how I pray as I prepare each day. You are loved!
