Psalm 100:1-5 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Lift up a great shout of joy to the Lord!Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere! As you serve him, be glad and worship him.Sing your way into his presence with joy!And realize what this really means—we have the privilege of worshiping the Lord our God. For he is our Creator and we belong to him.We are the people of his pleasure. You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise.Come right into his presence with thanksgiving.Come bring your thank offering to himand affectionately bless his beautiful name! For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you—so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all.Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation!
In our staff meeting at CrossRoads yesterday morning, we spent some time looking back over the 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting and some of what God did in CrossRoads and in us personally. With so much on our plates, it’s easy to dive into the busyness of what’s next on the schedule without ever stopping to thank God for His blessings and to praise Him for His presence. Here’s some of what I’m thankful for. Every person I’ve talked to who joined in the 21 Days experienced God moving in their lives and working through their prayers in remarkable ways. Our services at CrossRoads were the most Spirit-filled and passionate times with God that I have ever been part of anywhere. Personally, God gave me clarity to see what He was equipping me with to prepare me for this next season of ministry. There is much more that I could write about but the point is simply to invite you to bless the heart of the “Giver of All Good Things” by giving Him thanks and praise this morning. I invite you also to make fasting an ongoing part of your prayer life, maybe one day a week, one meal per day or one week each month. God moves in us and through our prayers when we choose to connect with Him through prayer and disconnect from the world through fasting.
You are loved!
